Asda introduces limits to fruit and vegetable purchases amid stock shortages

Asda has announced it will introduce limits on how many of a certain fruit and vegetable that shoppers can buy in store to tackle stock shortages.

Currently, supermarkets in the UK are facing problems sourcing certain products that are grown in Europe and Africa. This is because of bad weather and transport issues.

As a result, supermarket shelves have been hit hard with shortages of tomatoes in particular. Now, experts have warned that this could last "weeks" and affect other produce as well.
