Asda changes Blue Light Card discount scheme amid cost-of-living crisis

Asda Blue Light Card Asda Rewards Rewards NHS

Asda has today announced that Blue Light Card holders will receive their discount through the supermarket’s hugely popular Asda Rewards app.

The change, which is effective from May, 4, means that card holders will continue to get 10% off their shopping in-store simply by scanning their Asda Rewards app at the checkout, rather than presenting their Blue Light Card and ID, as was previously the case.

Blue Light Card holders who scan their Asda Rewards app in-store for the first time between Thursday, May, 4 and Wednesday, May, 31, will also receive a £2.50 bonus in their Cashpots, deposited in June.
