The cost of living is rising and for many people this has resulted in them trying to cut back in a bid to save as much money as they can.
The price of weekly food shops is on the rise with experts finding the prices of essential grocery items are rising by up to 50 per cent.
As a result, individuals and families are now under strain in a bid to make ends meet, and now, according to a new analysis by the Fraser of Allander Institute, experts warn a third of Scots are already cutting back spending on food and other essentials due to the cost-of-living crisis.

However in a bid to help some members of the public out, major retailers such as Asda and Sainsbury's are now taking part in a 'Discounts For Teachers' scheme. This means that teaching assistants, school administrators and even volunteers could all see discounts at major retailers.
On their website the scheme says: "Discount For Teachers is a benefit provider for teachers, and is also available to their families and retired teachers. From holidays to car insurance, mobile phones to fashion we offer exclusive deals from top names like Clarks, Hotpoint, Jet2holidays and Energy Helpline."
They add: "Our discounts aren't just for teachers! If you work in the education sector in any position you can benefit from our discount scheme.
