NEW DELHI: Car sales continued their surge as the festive season kicked in, led by strong demand for SUVs as well as the pull towards personal mobility post the Covid waves.
August saw top makers such as Maruti, Hyundai, Mahindra & Mahindra, and Tata Motors report healthy growth in dealer deliveries, though the base was low in some cases as semiconductor shortage had started impacting the industry around August last year.
