As a woman who loves AFL, I feel palpable despair. Why did it take so long to put us at the centre of this story?

As a woman who loves AFL, the events of the last few days have left me wondering if there is a home for me in this game.

It has been hard to stomach watching allegations of sexual assault that may be linked to some Sydney Swans players being framed as an “unmitigated disaster” for the club’s finals chances.
