Arthur’s Seat, the Cairngorms and Scotland’s escalating climate emergency

CLIMATE change in Scotland is no longer a future threat but a present danger, campaigners have warned, as wildfires around Arthur’s Seat and the Cairngorms continue to stretch emergency services .

Members of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service are still battling a wildfire in the Cairngorms, which started in heathland at Ryvoan Bothy near Nethy Bridge and has been burning since Wednesday, as well as one burning in the centre of Edinburgh which started on Sunday night.
