After the successful launch of Metro Art Series 1 earlier this year, Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited (BEM), the operator of the expressway and MRT Blue and Purple Lines, in collaboration with Bangkok Metro Networks Company Limited (BMN), are organising activities within the railway system.
Joining hands with leading public and private sector partners, they unveiled "Metro Art Series 2" under the theme "Playable Art". This event features renowned street artists The TU!! and Wild So Serious, who will showcase their artwork and engage commuters at Phahon Yothin MRT Station with a fun and creative art experience.
The event aims to inspire and excite MRT passengers while supporting ongoing art initiatives and fostering a vibrant art community. The Metro Art Series also includes art workshops and various other engaging activities at Phahon Yothin MRT Station.
The series offers interactive art formats at each checkpoint and exhibition room, including Art Ar Play, Art Exhibit, Art Playground, Art Music, Art Prop, Art Bomb, Art Workshop, Art Contest, Art Learning and Art Market.
Another highlight is the "Paint Here Alright" zone, where everyone can unleash their creativity and paint on everyday objects, transforming them into unique works of art. It provides an opportunity to explore the boundless world of imagination and foster creative thinking.
Additionally, Metro Art offers a variety of workshops that cater to diverse art forms, allowing people of all ages and genders to get closer to the world of art. For those who enjoy shopping and a relaxed atmosphere, the "Marche De L'Art" art market is a must-visit. With over 100 stores, it offers a wide selection of trendy art products for purchase and collection.
Live music performances are also featured through Metro Art Live Music activities to create a delightful ambience, infusing the event with joy and vibrancy.
