Arsene Wenger may have stepped down from the helm at Arsenal back in 2018, but the Frenchman's influence is still keenly felt at the Emirates Stadium.
Mikel Arteta, one of Wenger's former Arsenal captains, is the current occupier of the dugout that Wenger made his own during his legendary spell in north London - and the Spaniard has even managed to emulate some of the slick, classy football that become synonymous with Wenger and his iconic teams of the past in recent times.
But Wenger's influence at the club goes far beyond the pitch - and that's particularly evident this summer, as the Gunners have pursued a number of players that were first admired by their old boss.
Wolves winger Pedro Neto has emerged as a top target for Arsenal this week after recovering from a serious knee injury, but the 22-year-old was first courted by the Gunners all the way back in 2017 after he had caught Wenger's eye as a teenager breaking through at Braga.
And Neto wasn't the only Arteta target that has previously caught the eye of his former Arsenal boss - Wenger also run the rule over Oleksandr Zinchenko, Gabriel Jesus and Martin Odegaard; three players who have all been snapped up by Arteta over the past 12 months.
The trio of Jesus, Odegaard and Zinchenko have played a substantial role in Arsenal's stunning start to the season, with the Gunners currently top of the Premier League after becoming the only top-flight side to pick up a maximum nine-point haul from their first three matches so far this term.

Arsenal's electric start to the campaign - which comes after they were pipped to a top-four finish by Tottenham in the final weeks of last term - has been aided by a summer spending spree, with the Emirates hierarchy backing Arteta with substantial funds for the second consecutive summer.
No top-flight side spent more than the Gunners last summer, and Arteta could exceed last year's total spend if he presses ahead with a move for Neto.
The Wolves ace penned a new five-year deal back in March, and it's believed it would take more than £50m for the Midlands outfit to consider cashing in on their prized attacking asset.
Arteta is also still in the market for a central midfielder with Leicester City's Belgian playmaker Youri Tielemans a long-term target. Unlike Neto, Tielemans is inside the final 12 months of his current deal at the King Power Stadium and could be available for a cut-price fee.
