Arsenal are set for another busy summer transfer window just 12 months after spending more than any other Premier League side.
Mikel Arteta and Co are desperate to secure a spot in next season's UEFA Champions League, which they have failed to qualify for in the last five seasons. The north Londoners splashed over £140million last summer, adding the likes of Ben White, Martin Odegaard and Aaron Ramsdale to the ranks - helping them to a massively improved season that sees them currently sit fourth with just three league fixtures to go. They can confirm a top-four finish if they can defeat local rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday evening.
football.london understands that the Gunners will target at least one forward, a central midfielder and a backup full-back. In terms of outings, Eddie Nketiah, Alexandre Lacazette and Mohamed Elneny are into the final two months of their respective contracts with the club, but The Athletic have since reported that Arsenal have begun talks with Egyptian international Elneny and are hopeful an agreement can be found to keep the former Basel star at the Emirates Stadium.

The 29-year-old has enjoyed an excellent end to the season after being drafted into the starting XI following three successive league defeats last month. The Gunners have won all four matches since Elneny returned to the starting line-up, proving legendary manager Arsene Wenger's previous assessment of the midfielder right in the process.
"Elneny is a very strong and active player", Wenger told beIN SPORTS back in 2019. He's a player with a modern style of play, and he always gives his best for his team.
"Elneny is a very tactically-useful player. He is very active inside the pitch and what strikes me the most is how he protects his team.
"His input within the team is great, not in terms of goal creation because he's not the type to have the final touch before the goal. But because of how helpful he is in the build-up.
"Elneny's style of play adds protection to the team."
