Arsenal XI vs Everton: Starting lineup, confirmed team news, injury latest for Premier League today

Bukayo Saka will hope to inspire Arsenal to a key victory against Everton - (London Standard)

Martin Odegaard remains absent for Arsenal tonight as they host Everton in the Premier League.

The Gunners captain has played just once in the last month due to a knee injury. He briefly returned off the bench to face Tottenham, but has been back on the sidelines since.

Odegaard did not travel to Germany in midweek for the Champions League clash with Bayer Leverkusen but Mikel Arteta did not rule him out of the match against Everton.

"Let's see," Arsenal boss Arteta said of the potential availability of Odegaard and Trossard at his pre-Everton press conference on Friday.

"We will have to wait and see, speak to the doctors on whether they are involved or not."

With such a hectic fixture list, Arsenal have opted to remain cautious with Odegaard and he is not in the matchday squad.

Leandro Trossard, who missed the Leverkusen game with a minor issue he picked up in the FA Cup tie against Mansfield, also remains sidelined.

Arteta has opted to freshen up his attack after an unconvincing display in Leverkusen.

Kai Havertz scored the equaliser off the bench on Wednesday night and is reward with a start and looks to be leading the line instead of Viktor Gyokeres.

Noni Madueke, who won the penalty in Leverkusen to cap an impressive cameo appearance, also starts along with Bukayo Saka and Eberechi Eze as Gabriel Martinelli makes wat.

In defence, Ben White is fit again but Jurrien Timber keeps his place.

Riccardo Calafiori does, however, come in at left-back in place of Piero Hincapie, who has played a lot of games recently. Mikel Merino remains out after foot surgery.

Confirmed team news
