Karl Hein: Don't even think he had a touch. The kind of quiet night he would have wanted after such a traumatic competitive debut against Brighton. 6.
Cedric: Not too influential on the night. Defended well when called upon, although his set piece delivery could have been a little better, although his open play crossing was still good. 6.
Rob Holding: A good threat in the opposition box at set plays. Defensively didn't have too much to do, but looked focused throughout. 7.

Gabriel: Strong in the duels, particularly with his former teammate Alex Lacazette. Despite not having too much defending too continued to show his offensive threat, and was a problem for Lyon even without the goal. 9.
Kieran Tierney: Stayed out wide left for the most part and looked back to his fluid attacking best. Contributed nicely in the final third and was defensively solid when needed too. 7.
Mohamed Elneny: Kept the game ticking over at the base of the midfield with some sensible passing and positioning. Typical Mohamed Elneny. 6.
Albert Sambi Lokonga: Could be someone who really benefits from the little break in football. Looked confident in the eight role and was alert in the duel. A superb ball to set Vieira free for the second. 8.
Martin Odegaard: Looked at his silky playmaking best. Some lovely through balls from the edge of the box and a superb corner that Gabriel was able to power home. 8.
Fabio Vieira: A really motivated 45 for the Portuguese winger. Played out on the right and made a difference with almost every action he made. Got the assist for Nkeitah and could easily have had a few goals himself before he curled an absolute screamer into the top near corner. Like Lokonga, looks better for the rest. 9.
Eddie Nketiah: A brief period when he went down injured sent panic alarms whirring, showing us how important he's become given Jesus' injury. Did a decent impersonation of the Brazilian dropping deep and linking well. The tribute act ended with the goal the poacher's goal he scored, but everyone at Arsenal will be fine with that. 8.
Reiss Nelson: Started brightly by being involved in some nice moments of link-up play. but couldn't really get involved as much as he would have liked after that. 6.
