Arsenal vs Leicester player ratings as Thomas Partey and Ben White excellent in victory

Aaron Ramsdale: Something about Leicester seems to bring the best of the England 'keeper. Another tremendous save this time from Barnes and his claiming from crosses was sensational throughout. 8.

Cedric: Chances to show off offensive delivery were limited as Arsenal looked to attack via Martinelli down the left, but he still did a decent job up against Leicester's biggest threat in Harvey Barnes. 7.

Ben White: Another excellent and solid display from the England international who's last ditch tackle to thwart Maddison undoubtedly saved a goal. If he's not ahead of Harry Maguire in the next England squad then serious questions need to be asked. 8.

Gabriel: Went down a little easy after minimal contact from Iheanacho in the first half but aside from that a really classy display from the Brazilian who looked confident despite an error in his last appearance at the Emirates. 7.

Kieran Tierney: Again didn't quite get forward as much as part of his slightly more restricted role and couldn't impact the game as much. Better defensively than last week though. 7.

Thomas Partey: A truly outstanding performance from the Ghanaian who could have had a hattrick! Ran the game from deep and consistently won the ball high. A true all round midifield display! 9.

Granit Xhaka: Got forward plenty as part of his newer more advanced role and was pretty effective. Defensively decent too. A solid display from the Swiss. 7.

Martin Odegaard: The Norwegian has an uncanny ability to consistently pick out the right pass in the final third and it's this that has elevated him to the status as one of Arsenal's most important players. Not as impactful as at Watford but still very good. 8.

Bukayo Saka: Not quite as influential as last week but still caused Leicester plenty of problems down the right flank with his dribbling and close control. Final ball was a little off this week though. 7.

Alexandre Lacazette: Finally broke his goalscoring duck for 2022 with a well taken penalty. Linked play as well as ever, but just a little on his heels for some intricate balls in the box. 7.

Gabriel Martinelli: An excellent attacking performance from the Brazilian who was a consistent threat down the left up against two separate Leicester right backs. Only thing missing from the display was a goal. 8.

Substitutes -

Emile Smith Rowe: Came close to scoring with a one-vs-one from a tight angle up against Kasper Schmeichel. Looks motivated to win his starting spot back from Martinelli. 7.

Nicolas Pepe: Came on too late to influence the game. n/a.

Eddie Nketiah: Came on too late to influence the game. n/a.
