Arsenal have been urged to sign Bayern Munich star Sadio Mane just months after the ex-Liverpool forward was involved in a touching moment with Bukayo Saka at the Ballon d'Or awards ceremony. Mane has endured a difficult season in Germany and was recently involved in a bust-up with Bayern team-mate Leroy Sane which saw him be left out of the matchday squad last weekend.
The Senegal international was fined more than £250,000 by Bayern for punching Sane in the face last week after their Champions League quarter-final first-leg defeat against Manchester City. The former Premier League pair argued on the pitch during the 3-0 defeat at the Etihad Stadium, and came to blows as they entered the tunnel.
Mane finished as runner-up in the Ballon d'Or award voting in 2022, being beaten by Real Madrid star Karim Benzema. Before the ceremony began, the ex-Liverpool forward was seen embracing Saka and talking to the Hale End star, who smiled following their conversation.
