Arsenal trio Beth Mead, Vivienne Miedema and Bukayo Saka have announced that they're on their way to Paris for the Ballon d'Or ceremony. The Gunners stars have urged fans to follow how they get on via social media as they look to be victorious in their respective categories.
Mead is one of three Lionesses who made the shortlist, with Millie Bright and Lucy Bronze also in contention to become the newest Feminin Ballon d'Or winner. Miedema is also on the 20-player shortlist, though Alexia Putellas of Barcelona Femeni - who missed this summer's European Championships through injury - is favourite to take home the prestigious award.
Saka, on the other hand, is on the 10-man shortlist for the Kopa Trophy, given to the best men's Under-21s player. Barcelona's Pedri and Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham will be looking to stop him from winning, though.

The Arsenal stars announced that they were on their way to the ceremony in a video on Twitter. In the video, Mead - who is amongst the favourites to lift the Feminin Ballon d'Or - informs fans that they can follow how the trio get on on Arsenal's various social media accounts: "Hi guys, just the three of us here. We're just starting our journey to Ballon d'Or so if you follow us on Instagram, we'll show us [you] our journey throughout the day and tonight. Hope you enjoy it."
Miedema and Saka are seen smiling in the background as they begin their journey to Paris for what promises to be an entertaining evening. Whether the three of them are successful in their respective categories remains to be seen, but Arsenal supporters can be incredibly proud of them nonetheless as each of their nominations are well-deserved.
