Xavi Simons transfer claim
Netherlands national team coach Ronald Koeman has discussed a possible transfer for Xavi Simons this summer as the PSV youngster has been linked with a move to Arsenal and PSG. Speaking to Mundo Deportivo, he said: "Xavi Simons is a good boy, he called me this summer to talk to me about his future.
"It’s important that he has to play, he did a good job playing for PSV and I hope he stays there because he plays everything. In a stronger team, he doesn’t play much. For a youngster, you have to find the best way to exploit. He’s a great player and he’ll be a great player.”
Ivan Fresneda responds to links
Arsenal are claimed to be back in the race for Real Valladolid full-back Ivan Fresneda this summer as football.london understood talks were held over a switch back in January. While a deal wasn't agreed then, reports have since stated the Gunners are back in for a move, with Barcelona also interested.
The youngster has since spoken out on such links, during his time with Spain at the under-19s European Championships. As quoted by TMW, he said: "The truth is that right now I’m very concentrated on this competition. I’m very concentrated on the European Championship, after this competition I will do all the necessary assessments with the club. There’s no hurry, also because I’m fine in Valladolid. First the European Championship and then the future."
