Arsenal transfer news: Gabriel Jesus replacement claim made amid £57m Mykhaylo Mudryk plan

Here is your Arsenal transfer roundup on Tuesday, December 27.

Mudryk claim

Arsenal believe that a transfer package worth between £52million and £57million could be enough to land Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk in January. That's according to Fabrizio Romano, who told GiveMeSport: "In the final days of the summer transfer window when Everton offered €30million (£26.4million) for Mudryk, they were always asking for €50million/€55million (£44million/£48.5million) and now, after the Champions League group stages, where he was amazing, they’re asking for €100million (£88.1million).

"Arsenal have a feeling that Shakhtar could maybe accept €60million/€65million [£52million/£57million] to find the right package to include maybe some add-ons to find some smart formula to sign Mudryk."

Potential Jesus replacement claim

Arsenal have been linked with a number of players in the transfer window that could replace Gabriel Jesus, including Lille forward Jonathan David. Amid such links, his manager Paulo Fonseca has admitted that it could be tough to keep him at the club, telling La Voix des Sports: It will be difficult to keep Jonathan David at the club next season.

"There are not many strikers with his skills & numbers in Europe… he’s just 22. I think top European clubs will try to sign Jonathan David."

Tielemans talks

Arsenal are in fresh talks with Youri Tielemans over a move to the club for the midfielder, according to reports from journalist Sacha Tavolieri. The Leicester City and Belgium star is set to be a free agent in the summer transfer window, but the Gunners are leading the race to sign him.
