Eintracht Frankfurt defender Evan Ndicka could now sign a new deal with the Bundesliga side despite interest from Arsenal.
Standard Sport understands Mikel Artetaremains keen to strengthen his options at left-sided centre-back to provide competition for Gabriel Magalhães.
The club were keen on a move for Lisandro Martinez over the course of the summer but lost out to Premier League rivals Manchester United, prompting the interest in Ndicka.
With his contract currently due to expire at the end of the season, a number of clubs are monitoring the 23-year-old’s situation.
A French youth international to have seen his stock rise since swapping Auxerre for Frankfurt in the summer of 2018, Juventus are another thought to be interested in the player.
Still, Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krosche believes there is still a chance the club could keep a hold of their player long-term.
“We are still in talks with him,” Krosche told BILD.
“He can imagine staying in Frankfurt.”
