PSV's Gakpo stance revealed
PSV Eindhoven manager Ruud van Nistelrooy has provided a huge update on the immediate future of Cody Gakpo with Manchester United and Arsenal hoping to acquire his services in January.
Gakpo was the recipient of Premier League interest in the summer but remained in the Netherlands, however a terrific World Cup campaign may see him on the move in January.
The 23-year-old has also impressed at domestic level boasting 13 goals and 17 assists in 24 appearances across three competitions for PSV. Gakpo then also scored three goals for the Netherlands at the 2022 World Cup which has seen his stock rise significantly.
PSV manager Ruud van Nistelrooy is undoubtedly aware of the interest in Gakpo and provided a solemn response when asked about a possible departure in January.
Speaking to Voetball, he said: “There comes a time when you can't say no anymore”. In just ten words van Nistelrooy has given Arsenal and Man Utd a huge boost ahead of January in their respective bids to bring in the Dutch attacker in the winter window.

Arsenal dealt Zaniolo blow
Arsenal face missing out on AS Roma playmaker Nicolo Zaniolo after the 23-year-old's agent hinted at his client extending his stay at the Stadio Olimpico.
The Gunners' north London rivals Tottenham have also been linked to Zaniolo with his contract in Italy set to expire at the end of next season. The delay over a new deal has resulted in clubs across Europe becoming interested in the player and the Premier League has become a likely destination.
Romagiallorossa.it have claimed that Mikel Arteta's side are waiting for an update on Zaniola's contract situation before deciding to make their move. However, any potential move looks unlikely after his agent Claudio Vigorelli provided an update on his client's future.
"There are no clouds on the horizon, we have an excellent rapport with Roma and Tiago Pinto and we’ve agreed that we’ll discuss a contract extension in the future when the club think it’s best," he told Gazzetta dello Sport. "Now, the most important thing is to focus on work and performance on the pitch.
"The club know that we are ready to sit down and negotiate. I repeat that the rapport with Pinto is excellent and Zaniolo is happy in Rome and with fans."
Youri Tielemans transfer twist
Chelsea are attempting to hijack Arsenal's planned transfer deal for Leicester City star Youri Tielemans according to CBS journalist Ben Jacobs.
Chelsea's sudden shock interest perhaps doesn't come as a surprise though with Todd Boehly set to complete a midfield overhaul and the Blues may hold an advantage over Arsenal due to Tielemans' previous comments on wanting to play Champions League football.
Back in March, Tielemans admitted to Het Laatste Nieuws that he'd like to play in Europe's top competition: "I don't worry about it [speculation].
"I want to get the most out of myself this season and finish as high as possible with the team. Of course, I want to play in the Champions League, just like any footballer. Am I ready for a European top club? I'm ready to get the best out of my career. We'll see what happens next summer, or the summer after that."
