Arsenal have been one of the busiest teams in the Premier League during the summer transfer window.
Mikel Arteta's side have spent more than any other team in the English top-flight, splashing in excess of £110 million on five first-team players in the form of Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Fabio Vieira, Matt Turner and Marquinhos. However, Arteta himself has confirmed that he still wants additional incoming before the window shuts on September 1.
Speaking after the Gunners defeated Chelsea 4-0 on Sunday morning, the Spaniard said: "You can see that we are still a little bit short in some positions for the way we want to play. It is something we are trying to address."

PSV star Cody Gakpo is one player that Arsenal are interested in football.london understands, with Arteta a huge fan of the Dutch international. football.london understands that Gakpo is keen to one day play in the Premier League, although his current priority is making the Netherlands' squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Now, Dutch outlet VI has claimed there is a chance the Gunners will sign the 23-year-old this summer and whilst PSV are desperate for him to stay, they could allow him to leave but only after their UEFA Champions League qualification fixtures take place. The Eredivisie outfit travel to France to take on Ligue 1 side Monaco next week in the third round of qualifying before hosting the return leg a week later.
Suppose Ruud van Nistelrooy's men advance past Monaco. In that case, they will then take part in a play-off in late August, with the second leg taking part on August 23 or 24. Arsenal may then have to wait until the last week of the window before pursuing a move to sign Gakpo, who is currently valued at €49.7million (£42million) by CIES Football Observatory. The talented attacker enjoyed an excellent 2021/22 campaign, netting 21 goals and providing a further 15 assists across all competitions.READ NEXT:
