Arsenal are now up and running in the summer transfer window after confirming the signing of Brazilian youngster Marquinhos on Monday afternoon.
The 19-year-old will join up with his new teammates in the coming weeks, but he isn't expected to be the only arrival at the Emirates Stadium between now and deadline day at the end of August as links to the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Youri Tielemans continue to dominate the gossip columns.
With the international friendlies, UEFA Nations League, World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers now coming to an end, there could soon be more Arsenal transfer announcements - whether that be incomings or outgoings - now that targets are available again and have no other distractions.

Of course, it's not just transfers or speculation for supporters to get their teeth stuck into right now. For example, next season's Premier League fixtures will be revealed on Thursday at 9am and there's already excitement building for who the Gunners could get on the opening day.
Furthermore, in just under two weeks, some first-team players and many youngsters will start filtering back for pre-season training at London Colney before Arsenal head off to Germany for the first of two overseas pre-season tours this summer.
So with that in mind, football.london's Arsenal writers Kaya Kaynak and Tashan Deniran-Alleyne shared their thoughts on some of the big talking points at the Emirates right now during a Q&A with fans on Monday where they were asked questions on topics ranging from other summer transfers and which player would be best at Karaoke.
Here is what they had to say about what is going on behind the scenes in north London.
KickinItWithKeef asked: "Are Arsenal & Arteta on the same page? Simple yet complex question. I don't know if things are patterned out together from both parties as far as incomings go... your thoughts?"
Kaya said: "Everything I've heard so far would suggest that Arteta and Arsenal are very much singing from the same hymn sheet. He had a big influence over the singings last summer and has had a big influence over the contract decisions that have been made so far this time around. The club gave him the contract extension before the summer and did so after talking through clear plans for the summer."
Sachabrady asked: "Do you think we should invest more in squad than stars this window and keep some powder dry for winter window?"
Kaya said: "Personally I'm a fan of giving those excess minutes to young players rather than bringing in squad players. I get that you need experience, but the likes of Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe and Eddie Nketiah have all come through to the first team after being given some chances sporadically in league games, domestic cups and the Europa League.
"There's a good crop of youngsters with the likes of Charlie Patino, Marcelo Flores and Omari Hutchinson coming through atm, so why not give them a go."
SemperFiArsenal asked: "Do you see Sambi as a 8 or a 6? where do you think he will play next season?"
Kaya said: "I think the way Sambi was used in the final game of the season is probably an indication of what the plans might be for him going forward. Mohamed Elneny seemed to take over as the back up to Thomas Partey in the six role, and for me it's a position that requires a lot of experience.
"Sambi doesn't have it yet but I think he can get to that level one day. Until he's there though I think it makes sense to keep him in the eight role where he can learn the defensive side of the game a bit more. He's been compared to Yaya Toure by his former boss Vincent Kompany and I'd like to see a bit more of that side to his game next season. Hopefully, those Europa League games will give him the chance to do so."
AKArsenalNews asked: "Do you think Arsenal are likely to bring in another forward in addition to Jesus, or will he be the one?"
Tashan said: "If Arsenal sign Gabriel Jesus and also renew Eddie Nketiah's contract, it's unlikely that another centre-forward will come in. However, if Nicolas Pepe was to leave then that might force the club back into the transfer market to recruit a wide forward as a replacement."
Aaraufreak1 asked: "What's the standpoint on Marquinhos?"
Kaya said: "If he does well then it's possible to see him getting some chances in Europa League games and hopefully following the same path as Gabriel Martinelli, but probably too early to see at the minute. Nicolas Pepe does want to leave the club and that could well impact the decision making with Marquinhos."
Jimmy1960# asked: "Are we considering Aouar & Bissouma?"
Kaya said: "Arsenal have shown interest in Bissouma in the past, and the player certainly seems keen on coming if his Instagram stories are anything to go by. I've not heard anything to suggest that they will be in for him this time around though as of yet.
"I think Aouar's ship may have sailed when it comes to Arsenal, and given how highly Mikel Arteta rates off the pitch characteristics, some of the stories that have emerged from Lyon about him may well put Arsenal off."
Parv asked: "Any update on Jesus or Tielemans deal?
Kaya said: "Jesus is Arsenal's main target at striker this summer at the minute but the club are exploring other options as you would expect them to in the transfer market. Tammy Abraham is one of those, but a deal for him is difficult given how much he would probably cost after joining Roma for £40m last summer. Tielemans is still focused on Belgium at the minute, and will be with them until their final Nations League fixture against Poland on Tuesday. It's probably safe to say that we can expect a decision to be made after that."
TheGoonersPod asked: "Which Arsenal player would you think is best at Karaoke, and should this quality be more emphasized in setting transfer targets?
Kaya said: "This is a part of the Arsenal transfer strategy that I don't think gets covered enough and quite frankly we as the media have to do better. I've seen videos of Aaron Ramsdale on the Karaoke machine after Wimbledon survived relegation a few years ago so I'd have to back him as the best for Arsenal. Strength in depth has been a real issue for the Gunners though and I expect them to add to that this summer."
