Arsenal target labelled 'next Neymar' Endrick breaks 106-year record amid Erling Haaland ploy

Several European clubs have shown serious interest in signing Brazilian forward Endrick from Palmeiras and it's clear to see why after the 16-year-old broke a 106-year Palmeiras record.

Arsenal, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona have all shown interest in acquiring the services of the wonderkid and his stock has likely only grown after he became the youngest player to ever score for Palmeiras.

After coming on as a substitute at half-time in the Brazilian Serie A match between Palmeiras and Athletico Paranaense the youngster scored to put Palmeiras back in front becoming the club's youngest goal scorer at just 16 years, three months and four days.

Following his goal, Endrick copied the celebration of Manchester City striker Erling Haaland by placing his left index finger towards his ear before pointing his right index finger to the sky. He then posted the photo on his Instagram account, where he is followed by 1.4million people, tagging the Norwegian striker.

Endrick will undoubtedly attract a lot of interest when he turns 18 in 2024 but he will not be available on the cheap after signing a contract with Palmeiras earlier this year which included a €60million (£52million) release clause which runs until 2025.

In a recent interview, as quoted by Globo, Endrick said. "I have to work harder to improve, I want to make people believe in me. This goal is the result of my work, which I do at home and outside Palmeiras. I'm still studying."
