Arsenal supporters fear the worst as 'good luck charm' Liz Truss resigns as Prime Minister

You have to go back to September 4 to find Arsenal's last defeat in any competition. The Gunners were defeated 3-1 at Manchester United, which remains their only defeat this season.

Since then, Arsenal have been faultless. They've played seven matches in all competitions, winning all seven, scoring 16 goals and conceding just four.

However, after such a long winning run, could a bad result be on the horizon? After all, Arsenal fans are fearing that they've lost their lucky charm.

A day after Arsenal's defeat at Old Trafford, Liz Truss began her reign as prime minister. However, after just 44 days in the post, she has dramatically resigned from her role, becoming the shortest-serving PM in British history.

It's bad news for the Gunners, who didn't drop a single point during Truss' time as PM. Her resignation has led to Gunners' fans wondering whether they've lost their good luck charm. Newcastle United also went undefeated during the short-lived Truss era.

Nottingham Forest, Leeds United and Brighton failed to register a win in that 44-day period. Truss will remain in post until a successor is found next week, so Arsenal still have a few games to play while she remains in the position.

The Gunners face PSV Eindhoven on Thursday in the Europa League, before travelling to Southampton on Sunday and then facing PSV again next week.
