Arsenal strike first in £93m Tottenham transfer bout as Mikel Arteta hijacks Antonio Conte plans

Arsenal could scupper Tottenham Hotspur's dream transfer window, with Antonio Conte keen to bolster his side this summer. The Gunners have submitted a bid worth €90million (£76million) for Napoli striker and Spurs target Victor Osimhen, according to Calciomercato.

The 23-year-old has featured 26 times for the Italian giants in Serie A this season, directly contributing towards 19 goals. His impressive displays for Luciano Spalletti's side have steered Napoli to Champions League qualification, though five points adrift of a title challenge.

Osimhen has been central to the Naples-based side's success in recent times, with many top European clubs reportedly keen to secure his signature. Arsenal and Tottenham are seemingly among those in the race, with Mikel Arteta's side striking first.
