Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has admitted that he is desperate to never allow Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold to score against him.
Ramsdale has enjoyed an impressive 2022/23 campaign, registering 13 clean sheets as Mikel Arteta's side currently sit second in the Premier League standings. When asked by Gunners icon Ian Wright on the Premier League’s YouTube channel about players he doesn't want to concede to, the former Sheffield United shot-stopper quickly spoke about Alexander-Arnold due to their friendship.
“My rivalries comes from all my friends, so Trent Alexander-Arnold. I can’t let him score. He’s one of my closest friends and that is a major challenge for me,” the 25-year-old admitted.

So far, Ramsdale has never conceded to the Reds' full-back, who spoke about Arsenal's title chances earlier this month. “The league is obvious now and I’ve said it for a while," he told Red Bull , via Liverpool Echo.
"If City are even anywhere close, if they smell blood at Christmas, New Year - it’s game over really. There's no stopping them once they start winning and, now at this point, I'd be surprised if they drew a game.
“I think it's got to be a mindset because they don't even go behind in games at this point. There's no messing around, there's no scares, there’s no ups and downs. Arsenal were exciting because, they were dropping points, but in an exciting way.
"Whereas City, I don’t even know how to describe it, they are like juggernauts.”
Since then, City have won all of their league fixtures whilst the Gunners secured an impressive 2-0 victory away to Newcastle United before Sunday's 3-0 loss to Brighton all but confirmed Pep Guardiola and co will win their fifth league title in six years.
If the Citizens defeat Chelsea this weekend, they will mathematically be crowned champions.
