Arsenal are the latest club to be linked with a move for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen after an impressive season for the Nigerian. The 24-year-old has become a player heavily touted with a big transfer in the summer, having helped the Azzurri make a push for the Scudetto once again.
19 goals in 21 Serie A appearances have underlined his performance levels this campaign, with Napoli now 15 points clear of second-placed Inter Milan. While focus will undoubtedly be on winning the title, Osimhen has been discussing the possibility of a transfer in the future.
"I'm working so hard to make sure that I achieve my dream of playing in the Premier League some day," the striker said in the press over the past few days, potentially putting some clubs on red alert. "But like I said, it's a process and I just want to keep on this momentum and continue to do well."

That admission of desiring a Premier League move may have only strengthened the interest of some clubs, with Chelsea and Manchester United the main contenders. However, league leaders Arsenal have also been linked, with the potential need for a consistent goal scorer.
While there may be plenty of interest, Fabrizio Romano has claimed that the Gunners are unlikely to make a move for Osimhen in the summer. He told CaughtOffside: "I don’t have it confirmed, as of now [Arsenal interest in Osimhen]. Arsenal have Gabriel Jesus, Nketiah, Balogun and also, Osimhen’s price tag will be really huge. I think Arsenal have different priorities for this summer, including a new midfielder.”
It suggests that the Gunners are eyeing switches elsewhere and won't likely get drawn into a potential bidding war for a player that is having an extraordinary season.
