Arsenal's January transfer window has burst into life over the past week, having welcomed two new additions to the squad for the latter half of the season. Leandro Trossard was the first signing, coming from Brighton for an initial £21million fee to help add quality in depth.
The second arrival was that of Jakub Kiwior from Spezia, a young Poland international who can play centre-back, left-back and in midfield. However, the incomings may not be done there for the Gunners, who are hunting down a first Premier League title in 19-years.
The midfield is an area of particular concern for Mikel Arteta, who recently said on his central ranks: "Well, we need some more cover in midfield ideally if we can. In this market it’s pretty complicated to do that. The most important thing is that we get the performances and the time on the pitch that we need with the players we have available today that are already really good."
