Arsenal's options in the final third have been boosted this summer with the arrival of Kai Havertz. The German became the club's second most-expensive player after his £65 million switch from Chelsea, adding something different to Mikel Arteta's frontline.
Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber look to be the next players through the door to continue the Gunners' aggressive approach in the transfer market. The north Londoners' work in the market isn't expected to stop with just three, though player sales will play a role in any future business.
As they did last summer, it's likely that Arsenal will invest in players for the future. Fabio Vieira and Marquinhos both arrived this time last year and a similar trend could follow this time around.

Back in 2022, Ferreira was linked with a move to Arsenal after it was reported the Gunners intended to scout the striker during the Qatar World Cup. The forward only appeared for 45 minutes in the tournament and rumours went quiet.
However, he has since continued to impress in the United States and has sent a timely reminder to Arteta of his goalscoring abilities. After missing the USA's CONCACAF Nations League triumph last month, the FC Dallas star has replaced Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun as the country's leading man in their Gold Cup campaign.

In the back-to-back 6-0 wins over St. Kitts and Nevis and Trinidad and Tobago, Fereira has scored consecutive hat-tricks. "He's got a great feel for the game, can come down and link up, makes this little darting runs in behind the backline" USMNT head coach B.J Callaghan said after last night's win over Trinidad.
"He understands that as a nine you have the pressure to score goals and that's a pressure he's leaning into. He wants it, he's driven by it."
Ferreira's hat-trick on Sunday evening made him become the first player to score back-to-back hat-tricks in the USA's history and also tied him with Landon Donovan for the most hat-tricks.
A move to Ferreira will be way down Arteta's list this summer. However, with Balogun facing the exit door and Arsenal still without a prolific goalscorer, his goals in the Gold Cup will be a timely reminder of his presence for future windows.
