Arsenal may have a tough task ahead of them if they are to emulate their title-chasing season when the Premier League season kicks off. The Gunners found out who they will face first in the title race and, on paper, they have solid run in with Nottingham Forest at home before a trip to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace then back-to-back home matches against Fulham and Manchester United.
Mikel Arteta will be looking for his side to have an immediate impact on the season and keep the momentum going - especially now they have returned to the Champions League competition this season too. But more so they can improve on their title fight with Manchester City - even though the bookies have a clear winner in next season's race.
Betfred have priced Pep Guardiola's side at 4/7 heavy favourites to lift the trophy in May 2024 and achieve an unprecedented fourth consecutive league title in the history of top-flight English football. Meanwhile, Arsenal are priced at the same level as Liverpool at 8/1 - the latter finishing outside the Champions League spots and will be plying their trade in the upcoming Europa League.
There will be some key moments in the Premier League's season with the North London Derby coming to the Emirates Stadium late September before making the short trip to Spurs in April. No doubt, they will be looking for revenge from a number of results not going their way including a trip to the City Ground in January - with last year's match securing the league title to City.
Other matches Arsenal fans will be keen on seeing will potentially be high-flying Brighton & Hove Albion who will return to north London on December 16 - just after their Europa League group stage campaign ends. The Albion's first taste of European football (as well as fixture congestion) will definitely be a testing period for Roberto De Zerbi's side especially when the Italian head coach admitted his side are not yet ready to play three times a week.
