Juventus star Federico Chiesa is the latest player to be linked with a transfer to Arsenal.
According to Italian outlet Calciomercatoweb, Chiesa is now the Gunners' number one transfer target, with manager Mikel Arteta said to be a huge fan of the talented attacker. The 25-year-old, who has also been linked with the likes of Liverpool and Real Madrid in recent times, has been plagued by a plethora of injury issues over the last couple of seasons.
Chiesa missed the best part of a year after rupturing his cruciate ligament back in January 2022 and the Italian international has struggled to regain full fitness since returning to action two months ago. Still, when he is available, the former Fiorentina forward can be devastating, netting 15 goals and recording a further 11 assists across all competitions during the 2020/21 campaign.

That kind of form is said to have caught the eyes of footballing icon Cristiano Ronaldo, who played with Chiesa before leaving for Manchester United back in August 2021. "I think there are very serious and important foreign pressures on him [Chiesa],” said Ivan Reggiani, a football agent, to CalciomercatoTV in late 2021.
"Chiesa is the second or third best player as a talent in Italy. Appreciated across the channel, he is heavily sponsored by Cristiano Ronaldo. I think Federico can leave Juventus very soon.
"He can easily exceed one hundred million. There is not only United: there are two or three clubs that could reach $130 million (£105 million."
It remains to be seen just how interested Arsenal are in the talented forward considering how many options they now have in attack after signing Belgian winger Leandro Trossard last week. Gunners boss Mikel Arteta now has Trossard, Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe as wide options, with Reiss Nelson also nearing a return from injury.
