Feyenoord winger Luis Sinisterra has spoken out over transfer speculation with Arsenal among the sides reportedly interested on signing him this summer. The Colombian has impressed alongside Gunners loanee Reiss Nelson in the Netherlands and could be set for a move.
Mikel Arteta is eager to bolster his side ahead of the return of European football at the Emirates next season. Ben White, Martin Odegaard and Aaron Ramsdale were all signed at the start of the season as more than £140 million was made available to the Spaniard and a similar window is expected again.
Adding depth to his attacking contingent is one of his priorities and according to Corriere dello Sport via Sport Witness Arsenal boast an advantage in the race for Sinisterra. This week, Arteta spoke about his hopes for the transfer window and what obstacles could stand in his way.

“We are going to have certain resources, not unlimited resources, some resources," he said. "And with our resources, we have to play and do what we have to do in the best possible way.
"We don't know what the rest are going to have in terms of resources, which I'm assuming is going to be challenging because now it's not a top three or top four leagues. Now it is a top-eight or 10 teams that are involved. That's why we have to find a way to do again what we did last summer.”
This season has seen Sinisterra score 23 goals and provide 14 assists in all competitions, helping Feyenoord to the final of the Europa Conference League in the process. and drawing comparisons to compatriot and Liverpool winger Luis Diaz. As well as the Gunners, Atletico Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen are interested in his services but the player himself is remaining grounded.
Speaking to AS, the 22-year-old said: “I’m very calm and I try not to be aware of news that in the end are nothing more than rumours. I try to be focused on the day to day with my team, train in the best way for the matches and give them the best. Coming to the end of the season, I’ll sit down with the club and my agent and we’ll look at what is best for me.
“There’s a lot of talk, we all know that the situation of the teams is not at its best due to Covid, but it would also be a nice achievement to be able to go out and set a record. We’ll know that after the season, when the final is over, that will be the right time to find out and see what awaits me in the future.”
