The summer transfer window is heating up as Arsenal are ready to spend up to £200million next week, according to The Sun.
Mikel Arteta's side are signing Kai Havertz from Chelsea in a deal worth £60million, with an additional £5million worth of add-ons. football.london understands that the Gunners could unveil Havertz as early as next week, with the German international undergoing a medical overseas this weekend.
It is claimed that a third offer for West Ham United captain Declan Rice is also imminent, having already seen two bids for the England international turned down by the Hammers, who value their skipper in the region of £100million. The north Londoners are also said to believe that they will find a compromise with Ajax for defender Jurrien Timber after seeing an opening bid of £30million rebuffed by the Dutch giants.
Ajax want closer to £50million for the 22-year-old, who is versatile - capable of playing in central defence or as a right-back. If all three of these deals are completed, it will cost Arsenal over £200million, more than they have spent in any other transfer window.
During an interview with Spanish outlet Marca, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta admitted that he is trying to build a team capable of winning the Premier League title, having finished runners-up last term. "We already made a refresh of the squad", Arteta said.
