Arsenal could target a move for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic this month after reports emerged claiming Lazio president Claudio Lotito is willing to agree on a loan departure worth £8.8million which also includes an obligation to make the move permanent for £35.5million in the summer.
That's according to Il Messaggero via Calciomercato, who claim that given the lack of progress in contract talks with Milinkovic-Savic, Lotito is now ready to begin the process of negotiating his sale during this window. It's added that Arsenal, along with Juventus, who have already held negotiations with the player's camp, are showing interest and readying a move.
The Gunners have been linked with a move for the Serbian for some time, with links seemingly intensifying in recent weeks. The 27-year-old has scored five goals and registered seven assists in 22 appearances this season, highlighting the clear attacking threat he poses from midfield.

As well as Juventus, it's said that the former Genk man has also attracted interest from Chelsea and Manchester United, but it is Arsenal that had scouts present during Lazio's 2-0 win over Verona in September, Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport has claimed.
football.london reported in the summer that Arsenal were in the market for a midfielder and those plans are likely to have remained in place after failing to sign Douglas Luiz from Aston Villa on deadline day. Mikel Arteta and sporting director Edu are also set to miss out on long-term target Danilo, who is reportedly the subject of an £18million bid from fellow Premier League side Nottingham Forest.
Danilo was first looked at in January last year before a move was considered again in the summer following injuries to Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny. However, Palmeiras were reluctant to sell at the time and the Gunners have seemingly moved onto other targets since.
Arsenal have also cooled their interest in Leicester City's Youri Tielemans, football.london understands. There had been some suggestions that Arteta's side could revisit a deal for the 25-year-old this month, but that seems unlikely as things stand.
