Arsenal qualified for the knockout stages of the Europa League by beating PSV Eindhoven at Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners dominated the whole match, but in the end they had to settle for a 1-0 win as their Dutch opponents dug in.
Granit Xhaka scored the only goal of the game with 20 minutes to go as he fired home Takehiro Tomiyasu’s cross from the right.
It means Arsenal are now through to the knockout stages of the Europa League and they should secure top spot too, and a bye to the last-16, as they are five points clear of PSV with two games to go.
Simon Collings was at Emirates Stadium to see Arsenal in action...
Matt Turner 6
Had very little to do all night as PSV sat back and tried to frustrate Arsenal. Did make one smart save midway through the second-half.
Takehiro Tomiyasu 8
The Japan international struggled for minutes at the start of the season, but he looks back to his best now. Kept Cody Gakpo quiet and setup Arsenal’s goal.
Rob Holding 7
Came in at centre-back and did well as he dominated PSV striker Guus Til physically. Passing was good too and found Nketiah with one excellent diagonal ball, which almost led to a goal.
Gabriel 6
Solid performance from the Brazilian, who was just slightly outshone by Holding next to him. A quiet, understated game after the fireworks at Leeds.
Kieran Tierney 6
Looks more and more like his usual self with every game he starts. Bombed forward on plenty of occasions and put in some good crosses.
Fabio Vieira 7
One of Arsenal’s better players on the night. Created a great chance for Jesus in the first-half and showcased some lovely moments of skill at times.
Albert Sambi Lokonga 6
Had a fairly solid game at the base of the midfield. Kept things simple, neat and tidy, without pulling up any trees. Off with 20 minutes to go for Partey.
Granit Xhaka 8 | Star player
The comeback story continues for the Switzerland international. Looks reborn in his new advanced role and took his goal really well tonight.
Bukayo Saka 7
Had some brilliant mazy runs that caused PSV plenty of problems all game. Went close to scoring and deserved a goal for all his play.
Gabriel Jesus 7
Linked up really well with Saka at times and, when he was on it, PSV couldn’t live with the Brazilian. Will be disappointed to not convert good half chances in first-half.
Eddie Nketiah 6
Asked to play out left and put in a solid performance, particularly tracking back. Looks at his best playing as a No9, though.
Substitutions

A solid cameo from the Ghana international as he dictated the game from midfield.
