Arsenal news: President reveals star is interested in Gunners move amid Saliba contract boost

Elye Wahi claim

Montpellier President Laurent Nicollin has claimed that talented centre-forward Elye Wahi likes Arsenal as the young forward continues to be linked with a move away from Ligue 1.

When asked about Wahi's future during an interview with 100% Paillade, Nicollin said: "His agent talks with 4-5 big clubs, I know them but I won't tell you." He then added: "We know that he likes Arsenal a lot.”

Fresh Rice message

West Ham United captain Declan Rice has sent a fresh message to the Hammers faithful amid reports of a potential transfer to Arsenal during the summer window.

The England international's Instagram caption read: "Thank you to the fans, staff, my friends and my family for all the support.

"I’m glad we could bring it home for you. It’s an honour to Captain this Football Club. History Makers (Trophy emoji)."

Saliba contract boost

Arsenal defender William Saliba has verbally agreed a new four-year contract with the north London club, football.london understands.

The Gunners have been in discussions with the player for some time and finally, a resolution is in sight as the French international is set to extend his stay at the Emirates Stadium until 2027.
