Here is your Arsenal morning digest for Monday, August 29.
Mikel Arteta's transfer decision reward
Bernd Leno was allowed to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer in search of regular football after he fell down the pecking order under Mikel Arteta.
The German goalkeeper returned to the Emirates Stadium for the first time since leaving the Gunners, but it wasn't a happy return as Arteta was rewarded for his decision to drop Leno in favour of new signing Aaron Ramsdale last term.
The new Fulham goalkeeper was at fault for Gabriel Magalhaes' late winner on Saturday as Leno came off his line, failing to claim the cross which fell to the Brazilian defender to slot home and seal all three points.

Arsenal 'plan B' pays off
Mikel Arteta reacted to Aleksandar Mitrovic's opener, following a mistake from Gabriel Magalhaes at the back, by bringing on Eddie Nketiah, changing formation and swapping Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.
It shows Arteta's ability to chop and change his system and personnel when things aren't going to plan in games, but there remains a key transfer question for technical director Edu and owner Stan Kroenke to answer.
Pedro Neto and Youri Tielemans have both been linked with moves to north London, and Arsenal may need to secure both signings to increase quality and depth at the club.

Real Madrid's 'strange' Odegaard decision questioned
During Match of the Day's analysis of Arsenal's comeback against Fulham, host Gary Lineker questioned Real Madrid's decision to sell Martin Odegaard to Arsenal last summer, considering the ageing midfield of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.
Lineker said: "Do you know what baffles me a little bit is how have Real Madrid let him slip away when they've got Modric and Kroos, who are really at the end of their careers?" It's a strange one because he's so clearly talented, isn't he?"
Mikel Arteta was full of praise for Odegaard after another stellar performance, and his leadership against Fulham demonstrates exactly why Arteta chose the 23-year-old as his new club captain.
