Arsenal news: Gunners squander two-goal lead at Liverpool as Pep Guardiola makes title admission

Here is your morning Arsenal digest on Monday, April 10.

Arsenal squander two-goal lead

Arsenal failed to retain eight point advantage over Manchester City in the Premier League title race yesterday after drawing 2-2 with Liverpool.

Roberto Firmino's second-half striker drew the Reds level after Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus raced the Gunners into a 2-0 lead. Mohamed Salah halved the deficit late in the first-half before missing a penalty.

The draw Mikel Arteta's men are only six points above Man City, with Pep Guardiola's men having a game in hand.

"I would like to have eight points, right now five. I would love it but yeah, it is what it is and now Bayern Munich."

TV decision

The Premier League are open to the idea of ditching the likes of Sky Sports and BT Sport to show games on their own platform, as per the Mirror.

Sky have broadcasted matches since the Premier League's inception back in 1992 but it is now claimed that there will likely be one more multi partner deal before the Premier League decide to run the show on their own. BT Sport and Amazon Prime also broadcast matches, with DAZN, Disney+ and Apple all said to be keen to enter the football broadcasting fray as well.
