Arsenal's expected summer spending will get under way in seven days time when the summer transfer window opens, but Mikel Arteta's transfer activity has already begun.
And the pursuit of West Ham's £100million star Declan Rice is set to intensify following the club's Europa Conference League final against Fiorentina on Wednesday night. The England star has been identified as the Spaniard's main target as he bids for another tilt at the Premier League, as well as Champions League football.
But Rice is far from the only intended target. The likes of Moises Caicedo and Wilfried Zaha have also been linked, with the Gunners in need of reinforcements amid the collapse of their title challenge at the tail end of the 2022/23 season.

Rice out to cement West Ham "legacy" amid Arsenal interest
Wednesday night's Europa Conference League final is expected to be the last for Declan Rice in a West Ham shirt – with Arsenal leading the race for his signature.
And the £100 million rated midfielder has spoken with the air of a man determined to go out on a high: “It's a chance to go out and create a legacy where every single player, the manager, everyone involved, will be remembered forever,” he said.
“To win a trophy like this, a European trophy, with West Ham, I think it puts every player at a higher status within the club and, in terms of with the fans, how you’ll be remembered.I think it would just mean everything, to be honest. Just to lift that trophy, especially to be with the lads as well – our group of boys are such good people."

Arsenal icon says no to PSG
Thierry Henry has reportedly rejected the opportunity to join Julian Nagelsmann’s coaching staff at Paris Saint-Germain.
Henry had held talks with the PSG hierarchy over the possibility of joining the French club this summer. The Arsenal legend has coaching experience with Belgium and has previously managed Monaco and Montreal Impact.
Foot Mercato report that the Frenchman is not keen on the role. Henry reportedly wants to stay in England, where his family currently lives, and is targeting a managerial role rather than an assistant coach position.
Arteta handed a boost over Saliba talks
Contract talks between Arsenal and William Saliba's representatives are progressing positively as Mikel Arteta bids to tie down the French defender.
According to Football London, a new deal is close to being agreed. The Spanish boss knows he can ill afford for negotiations to break down, given that in less than a month Saliba will be into the final 12 months of his current deal, and can leave on a free next summer.
The defender's back injury, sustained in Arsenal's Europa League exit against Sporting CP in March, has been cited as a pivotal moment in the Premier League campaign. The north London side struggled defensively in the final weeks, with the absence of Saliba apparent as they took just 12 points from their final nine games.
