Arsenal are continuing their push for Ajax defender Jurrien Timber this summer as talks enter day three over a new offer for the 22-year-old. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Gunners are in their third day of negotiations with the Eredivisie side, having lodged a second bid.
The valuation is believed to be around £40million, with confidence and optimism that a deal may be concluded in the days and weeks ahead. Timber could be an ideal addition to Mikel Arteta's squad, who will be keen to add quality and depth to the side ahead of the new campaign.
The Dutch international adds quality at a good age profile and with his deal having just two-years remaining, a bargain deal could be struck. His versatility is another bonus, with an ability to play at both centre-back and right-back adding further solutions at the disposal of the head coach.
