Arsenal linked with Wolves star also attracting Manchester United and Barcelona attention

Arsenal are said to be rivalling both Manchester United and Barcelona in their own pursuit of Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves.

The 25-year-old has been a standout performer for Bruno Lage's side this season, starting 26 of their 32 Premier League games thus far. Neves is rumoured to be at a standstill in his recent contract talks with the Molineux side and could perhaps look for a new challenge away from the West Midlands club come the summer.

Contracted until the summer of June 2024 and with a fee of around £45million said to be the asking price for the midfielder, the Gunners are keen to strengthen their squad under Mikel Arteta.

According to MEN Sport's chief Manchester United writer Samuel Luckhurst, Neves is the target of all three clubs, with Champions League football a particular sticking point given United and Arsenal's battle at present. With just six games left, Neves' side could perhaps make a late dart for the European places, given the form of the teams in and around them, although it does seemingly look unlikely.

Wolves still have away trips to both Stamford Bridge and Anfield to come before the end of the season and at present sit eight points off the top four.

The 25-year-old has long been linked with a move to the Emirates, despite current Wolves boss Lage admitting the player should be valued at a fee of upwards of £100million.
