Arsenal learn Christian Pulisic price tag in Man United transfer battle as Chelsea exit looms

Christian Pulisic is attracting numerous headlines following his World Cup displays with the USMNT and speculation over where is future lies as a Chelsea exit seems likely. Arsenal, Manchester United and Newcastle United are all in the hunt for the wantaway Blues star.

The 24-year-old arrived from Borussia Dortmund in January 2019 for £57.6million but has struggled for consistent game time and form throughout his near-three year spell in west London. Pulisic has played under Frank Lampard, Thomas Tuchel and now Graham Potter but no Blues manager has seemingly been able to get the best out of him.

While finding his next club will likely be on the mind of Pulisic, his priority at this moment in time and over the last week is with the USA and their World Cup campaign.

Pulisic has looked impressive in all three group encounters after setting up Timothy Weah for USA's goal against Wales in their first group stage match, he scored the goal that sealed his country's place in the World Cup last-16, getting injured in the process after clashing with the Iranian goalkeeper.

After the collision, Pulisic was clearly in discomfort and was subbed off just a few minutes after his goal. Following the full time result, Pulisic sent his teammates a congratulatory message from hospital with an update on his condition.

His World Cup performances will likely only increase the fee Chelsea will demand for his services, however a price tag seems to have been set and Arsenal, Man United and Newcastle may feel it's a bargain considering his recent displays.

The Athletic are reporting that an asking price of £35m to sell Pulisic has been mooted with the American international showing no desire to extend beyond 2024 meaning Todd Boehly will have a few windows to try and drum up the price of Pulisic in an attempt to receive close to what Chelsea paid just under three years ago.
