Arsenal in fresh transfer battle with AC Milan and Lyon for 'next Kevin de Bruyne'

Arsenal are reportedly locked in a transfer battle with AC Milan and Lyon for the signing of 18-year-old Belgian star, Charles de Ketelaere.

According to Italian outlet Calciomercato, the three clubs are ready to fight it out for the Club Bruges star. The report states that De Ketelaere, who managed to score 18 goals and register 10 assists in 48 appearances last season, will cost somewhere in the region of €30-35million (£26million-30million).

Positively, it's been suggested that Milan are already ready to give up on their pursuit of the youngster, meaning Arsenal and Lyon have a better chance of securing his signature this summer.

As per the BBC, De Ketelaere has been given the nickname 'King Charles' at Club Bruges. With a name like that, there's no surprise that some of the top clubs in Europe are circling him.

He's also been likened to Kevin de Bruyne and considered to be the heir to the 31-year-old's throne in Belgium. Whether ends up having a career like the Manchester City star remains to be seen, but the signs are certainly positive as things stand.

Arsenal and Edu have made it clear that they intend to keep signing young players moving forward and their reported interest of De Ketelaere is proof of that fact.
