Arsenal hold transfer talks with three strikers including shock move for Everton's Richarlison

Arsenal have held talks with three different strikers over a potential move to the Emirates this summer, if recent reports are to be believed. It comes ahead of a key summer period for the Gunners in reinforcing their squad.

Mikel Arteta will be keen to strengthen his side following a disappointing end to the last campaign. While it was in his side’s hands to finish in the top four, they missed out and had to settle for Europa League football next season.

Reflecting on the season, the Spaniard has said: “They [supporters] can see what we’re doing, what the players want to do, how they represent the club, the values on and off the pitch, who we are as a group. And then we have the level that we have and it’s not been enough. We have to make a clear assessment on that and how we take the club to the next level. If we want to do that, we know what we have to do.”

In an attempt to take the club to the “next level”, the Gunners have been linked with plenty of attacking options for this summer. That’s because Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are both set to leave the club, but the side also missed a consistent goalscorer.

A number of names are said to be on the radar of Arteta, however, it appears as though some early moves have been made to tie down some players as soon as possible. According to GOAL, Arsenal are in talks with representatives of Gabriel Jesus and Victor Osimhen, as well as sounding out a possible move with Richarlison.

Jesus and Osimhen have been a pair heavily linked with a move to the Emirates, while Everton forward Richarlison has been mentioned infrequently surrounding a transfer. While it’s the early stages though, it remains to be seen whether there will be some concrete interest.

However, it makes it clear that Arsenal are straight back to work, looking to improve the squad as soon as possible, rather than waiting until the last minutes of deadline day.
