Arsenal's efforts to sign AS Roma striker Tammy Abraham may have gotten a little easier if recent reports are to be believed.
The Gunners are keen to sign at least one centre-forward this summer and football.london understands that Abraham is one name on the club's shortlist of profiles. The England international enjoyed an excellent debut season at the Stadio Olimpico, netting 21 goals across all competitions as his side won the UEFA Europa Conference League earlier this month.
That kind of form hasn't gone unnoticed as a number of clubs including Arsenal have been linked with a move for the former Chelsea man but a multitude of reports have suggested that it would take a huge offer to convince Jose Mourinho's side to part ways with the clinical frontman this summer. However, the north Londoners may have a player in their ranks that could help sweeten a potential deal for Abraham.

Hale End academy graduate Ainsley Maitland-Niles spent the second half of last season on loan with the Serie A side, although his limited game time makes a permanent move seem unlikely. Similarly, Granit Xhaka was previously linked with a move to the Italian capital but the Swiss captain is a key member of Mikel Arteta's squad and the Spaniard has consistently reiterated how important the 29-year-old is to his side.
Still, Gunners' defender Hector Bellerin is one name that could potentially interest Roma, with Italian outlet calciomercato.it, via romapress, claiming that the Spanish international is one of the right-backs being monitored by Mourinho and Co ahead of a potential summer transfer. The 27-year-old spent the 2021/22 campaign on loan with Real Betis but the La Liga club's president Angel Haro seemingly suggested that a move would not become permanent.
Speaking to Goal, he said: “Hector is a fanatic player and a very good person. It was a loan that we had from Arsenal, now he returns to Arsenal and from then on, we'll see.
"It is true that he has been very caught up in everything about Betis because, in addition, his parents are Betis fans. Hopefully we cross paths again."
