Arsenal have been handed a major Champions League boost for next season following news of Juventus' point deduction being reinstalled. The Old Lady saw a 10-point deduction that was sanctioned earlier this year overturned but now the Old Lady's 2022/23 season tally will go back down by ten points after a recent court ruling.
That decision looks set to have a huge impact on Arsenal and the Champions League pot they will be drawn in. Prior to the deduction, Juventus sat second in the Serie A table on 69 points with three games left to play, however 10 points being taken away would see them drop down to seventh, five points off fourth-placed AC Milan.
If the top four was therefore to remain the same, the Gunners would be placed in Pot 2 for the Champions League group stage draw, which would likely hand them a favourable selection of teams they will face.
