January was a busy month for Arsenal both on and off the pitch, but focus now turns to February, where plenty more twists and turns could be round the corner. With another month passed, Mikel Arteta now has the final squad that he hopes will guide them towards Premier League title success by late May.
Three additions were made in January as Leandro Trossard, Jakub Kiwior and Jorginho all joined the squad, adding quality in depth for the remainder of the campaign. It shows a huge turnaround from as recent as November, when Arteta had lamented his lack of squad depth.
“We know where we are and we knew the moment we had certain injuries that the squad is already very, very short,” the Spaniard said. A few key injuries could derail things, given how well the side is working together so far this season, even with some absences already.

Gabriel Jesus has had a long spell out of action with a knee injury picked up during the World Cup, but is stepping up his own recovery. Mohamed Elneny is set to be on the sidelines for a few months after his latest absence, while Reiss Nelson picked up a knock during a friendly match in December against Juventus.
In good news for the Gunners, it seems as though the latter of the three recent concerns is back in training in a huge boost before the clash with Everton this weekend. Nelson was the headline act earlier this season in the thrashing of Nottingham Forest, scoring a brace from the bench.
With the importance of Bukayo Saka on the right, the reintroduction of the academy graduate could be a huge relief for Arteta, should he need to shuffle his deck for certain matches. The manager is edging ever closer to having a full squad at his disposal once again, which will be key for the run-in ahead.
