Here is your Arsenal transfer round-up on Friday, June 2.
Declan Rice boost
West Ham United captain Declan Rice will prioritise a move to another Premier League club, according to the Daily Mail.
It is claimed that Rice is set to snub a move to Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, with Arsenal favourites in the race to sign the England international, who is thought to be keen to stay in London. Manchester United remain in the race despite their limited transfer budget, with the Red Devils prepared to offer a player plus cash offer in an attempt to sign the talented midfielder.
The report adds that the Gunners are set to make an opening bid in the region of £90 million after the Hammers have played in their Europa Conference League final against Fiorentina on Wednesday.
Balogun exit
As per the Mirror, Serie A champions Napoli are ready to go head-to-head with AC Milan in the race to sign Arsenal starlet Folarin Balogun during the summer transfer window.
The Gunners are said to be keen to raise at least £30million if they are to sell Balogun this summer. The Hale End academy graduate enjoyed an excellent 2022/23 campaign, netting 21 goals whilst on loan at Ligue 1 outfit Reims.
Maddison battle
Newcastle United and Arsenal will battle it out to sign Leicester City playmaker James Maddison, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Speaking on the Here We Go Podcast, Romano said: “Maddison is 100 per cent leaving the club. Let me mention Newcastle because Newcastle love the player, Newcastle really appreciate him, they are in the race again and he is another player appreciated by Arsenal, these two clubs are interested in the situation of Maddison and I’m sure there will be a fight for this player."
