Arsenal: Gabriel Martinelli backs future Premier League title challenge after Mikel Arteta ‘revamp’

Gabriel Martinelli has backed Arsenal’s young stars to challenge for the Premier League title in future seasons.

The Gunners have impressed this season under Mikel Arteta and are in pole position to finish fourth in the Premier League.

At the heart of Arsenal’s fine form has been their youngsters, such as Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe and Martinelli.

They have been key in Arsenal’s push to qualify for the Champions League and Martinelli thinks they could help them fight for the title one day.

“We had a very big revamp, our team has many youngsters, 23, 20 years old,” he told Globo Esporte.

“We have a future ahead of us, if we keep this team, we can fight for titles in the following seasons, we will fight for that.

“This season we will fight for fourth place, to go to the Champions League, and then fight for the Champions League.”
