Arsenal begin the new Premier League season at home to Wolves.
The Gunners will hope to kick off the campaign with a win after last season again narrowly missing out on the title to Manchester City, taking the race to the final day but ultimately ending up empty-handed. Mikel Arteta is expected to again invest heavily in the squad after going agonisingly close to a first league crown in 20 years.
Arsenal’s first real test arguable comes in their second fixture, facing an away trip to Aston Villa. It is part of a tough opening run for the Gunners, who travel away to Tottenham and champions City before the end of September.
The home games against those rivals in January, against Spurs, and February, against City.
The traditional festive period will see Arsenal welcome Ipswich to the Emirates Stadium on Boxing Day before back-to-back away trips to Brentford and Brighton to round off the calendar. The season concludes at Southampton.
