Arsenal could be set to exact their revenge on Chelsea after Todd Boehly hijacked a move for Mykhailo Mudryk in January. The 22-year-old was heavily linked with a move to the Gunners at the start of last month, only for the Blues to swoop in and secure his signature at the eleventh hour.
Now, the north Londoners appear ready to give Chelsea a taste of their own medicine following Takehiro Tomiyasu's mistake against Manchester City. The Japan international struggled to impress against the Premier League champions, handing them the lead after a misplaced pass back to Aaron Ramsdale was intercepted by Kevin De Bruyne.
Tomiyasu was later replaced by Ben White, who has been Arsenal's preferred choice at right-back in recent times. So, eager to further bolster his options at the back, Mikel Arteta has set his sights on Denzel Dumfries.

The Netherlands international has been closely monitored by the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United in recent years but a move to the English top-flight but a switch has never materialised. According to Fichajes, Arsenal have joined the two Premier League giants in the race to sign Dumfries.
The report states that Inter Milan need to generate around £53million from player sales in the summer amid their financial woes. So, the Italian giants are expected to demand a high fee for the £31m-rated right-back, who sees his contract at the San Siro expire in 2025.
In December, Dumfries addressed speculation over his future after scoring at the World Cup in Qatar. The 26-year-old said: "Of course it’s a big compliment to be linked with Chelsea, but playing for Inter it’s big compliment too. Chelsea move in January? I’m focused on nothing else but national team and Inter."
Then, just last month, the right-back's agent issued an update on his client's future. Speaking to Rai Sport, as quoted by Calciomercato, Rafaela Pimenta said: "Denzel has played in great World Cups.
"I think Inter are happy [with him]. Today, he is an Inter player, he has the Nerazzurri colours in his heart. Then we'll see what happens."
