Arsenal are close to signing former Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata if reports in Spain are to be believed.
The north Londoners are in the market for a centre-forward after allowing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to join Barcelona during the January transfer window, whilst Alexandre Lacazette is also set to leave when his contract expires in just over four weeks. football.london understands that Gabriel Jesus and Tammy Abraham are two names on the club's shortlist of profiles, and technical director Edu has held talks with Jesus' representatives in recent times.
However, Spanish outlet Sport have now reported that the Gunners are, in fact, pursuing Atletico Madrid's Morata. Their report claims that Arsenal have lodged an offer of €30million (£26million) for the former Blues' forward, and they are said to be 'very close' to securing his services.
